The Sainte Marie Hospital complex provides all the information requested by each hospitalized person.

A professional group of the establishment, made this reception booklet to facilitate your hospital stay.

Competences of health professionals and the medical equipment of the hospital complex of Marie Galante represent a potential entirely dedicated to the care and the comfort you deserve.

By filling in the exit questionnaire which will be given to you, you will be able to make us share your remarks and suggestions. The analysis of your satisfaction will enable us to improve our services within our quality management system.

In Association to the whole of The Sainte Marie hospital staff, I wish you a pleasant stay and a prompt recovery.

SPECIALITIES

The hospital complex shelters medical and surgical specialities (care in gynaecology, obstetrics, neo-nathologie, medicine, and post op orthopedic surgery recovery, digestive surgery, anaesthesia), as well as a technical plateform which makes it possible to deal with urgencies (UPATOU) inluding a medical imagery, a biology laboratory, a pharmacy for internal use and a sterilization unit.

INTERPRETERS

It is possible to have an interpreter attending, you may ask for the head nurse in your ward, a nurse or at the reception.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR A VISIT OR A HOSPITALIZATION

- ID card, passport

- Insurance card

For European Union members :

- The european Health Card (C. E. A. M.) or

Document E111.

- health record (eventually)

- blood group card.

For non European communities, not wor-

king in France :

- An agreement between your country of

origin Health care system or private insurance,

or from your embassy.

EXPENSES

The admission services will inform you in regards to the expenses you will be accounted for.

CLOTHING AND BATHROOM REQUISITES

All the linen you will need during your stay is not provided by the hospital. You are requested to bring your personal effects and objects (towels, toilet gloves, slippers, tooth brush, razor, etc…).

The personal linen is not maintained by the hospital staff.

BELONGINGS

We advise you not to bring money or any valuable articles. But if necessary, a safe is available for deposits in the Hospital’s Financial Service. A receipt will be issued.

YOUR DEPARTURE

You can only leave the Establishment with the agreement of the Unit’s Chief doctor, alone responsible for you health at the time of your leave.

Without the Unit’s Chief Doctor’s agreement, it will be necessary to sign a discharge of responsibility and transport will be at your charge.

Before leaving the Establishment, you (or your family) must present yourselves at the Unit’s Office, then at the Admission’s Services for the administrative formalities.

Last but not least, you may present yourself :

- to the Hospital’s Financial Services or the Sainte Marie Tax office in order to retreive your valuables.

220 Volts is used in Guadeloupe.

According to the law of July 6, 1992, the responsibility for the Establishment cannot be held in the event of disappearance or deterioration in regards to the objects which have been entrusted.
